William-Fields-Attorney-Stone-Mountain-Ga-200Bill Fields is a proud resident of Gwinnett County, living in Stone Mountain. He attended  high school and college in Virginia, graduating from the College of William & Mary, then joined the Army immediately after graduation.

For the next 26 years he served as an Infantry and Special Operations officer in six states plus two tours in Germany and one in Southwest Asia during the first Gulf War (Desert Shield/Desert Storm).

His last Army assignment was in Columbia, SC and – after he retired – he began the transition into the Atlanta area. In addition to his extensive service of our nation, Mr. Fields holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William & Mary and Masters of Science (Adult Education) from Florida State University.

Bill came to the Atlanta area in 1996 to work security for the Centennial Olympics and instantly fell in love with Georgia’s charm. His wife, Kelly, spent her adult years there and they decided to settle in Georgia for Bill’s second career as an attorney. Bill attended law school at Georgia State University, graduating in 2000. He has worked as a general practice attorney for over a decade, first in Columbia and now in Stone Mountain.

Philanthropy is the lifeblood of the Fields family. Bill’s wife Kelly provides event support for the national organization of Stand Up for Kids and Bill enjoys spending his free time volunteering with their local chapter. He is also an assistant coach for the Parkview High School  girls’ varsity lacrosse team. Bill and Kelly adopted two children from the central Asian Republic of Kazakhstan and both are teenagers now. Bill and his family are active members of North Point Community Church.
